Food Fest is an annual celebration of food, culture, and community at BYU–Hawaii. Students, employees, and guests come together to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes, experience different cultures, and spend an evening connecting with friends and neighbors.
Whether you are attending Food Fest for the first time or returning for another year, the event offers something for everyone. Explore food booths, enjoy cultural entertainment, and take part in a memorable campus tradition.
All proceeds go to student clubs to support club activities, as well as Culture Night costumes and supplies.
What to Expect on Food Fest Night
When you arrive at Aloha Plaza, stop by the Ballroom to purchase tickets or at the information booth to pick up your presale vouchers (see below).
Because some food items may be limited, we recommend planning what you would like to order before purchasing your tickets. This will help you purchase the correct number of tickets for your selected dishes.
Tickets purchased in the Ballroom can be redeemed at the student club booths in the Aloha Plaza. During the evening, visit the food booths to redeem your tickets for dishes from different cultures and regions. Food items are available while supplies last.
Entertainment and activities will take place throughout the event on the stage near the Cannon Activities Center. Picnic tables will also be available.
Come hungry, bring your friends and family, and enjoy an evening of food, culture, and community.
Redeeming Presale Vouchers and Tickets
If you purchased menu items or tickets during the presale period, you will receive an email confirmation of your order during the week of Food Fest.
On the night of Food Fest, presale customers should present their receipt or identification at the information booth in Aloha Plaza to claim their pre-purchased vouchers and/or tickets. Pre-purchased tickets can be used at the student club booths in the same way as tickets purchased on the night of the event.
To redeem a voucher, use the separate presale line at the appropriate booth, present your voucher, and receive the item you pre-purchased.
Food Safety
Student Leadership & Services will ensure that event operations comply with BYU–Hawaii and Oʻahu Department of Health food safety rules and regulations. Clubs are responsible for ensuring that all food provided complies with Department of Health food safety standards. Food permits have been issued by the Oʻahu Department of Health Food Safety Branch for each food booth. Members of BYU–Hawaii Food Services will monitor and verify that food is maintained at appropriate temperatures throughout the event.
