Entrance to Culture Night is free and no ticket is required. If you would like to donate a monetary gift, request to see a Student Leadership & Service administrator. We are very blessed to have a wide range of cultural talent on our campus. We invite you all to please respect the space and its people, so the overall experience will be memorable.
Seating is limited. Once seating is filled to capacity everyone will be turned away and encouraged to watch Culture Night online through BYUH live stream or BYUH YouTube channel.
There will be NO saving seats.
Seating will be handled in an organized manner to ensure all seats are taken. Ushers will be seating people and offering information to those with any questions/concerns.
Seating priority will be for BYUH students, faculty, and staff, VIP invites, and ADA members, before the public receives access. No one is to reserve seats other than the Student Leadership and Service Club’s Management Team.
Everyone is required to be seated in their seat at all times. Aisles are to be kept clear at all times. No sitting on the stairs or standing in the exit portals. You are encouraged to use the bathrooms during video segments. Do not disrupt the performers on stage at any time. Student performers have invested a lot of time and effort to present these cultural performances for your enjoyment.
Campus Security and Honolulu Police officers will be onsite.
Parents with baby strollers, no baby strollers will be allowed into the building. All strollers will be required to be left outside.
Parking
Parking is free and also limited.
Parking for ADA guests will be behind the Cannon Activities Center.
First Aid
A First Aid station will be present in the Cannon Activities Center (CAC).
Emergency
In case of an emergency, exit the building in an orderly manner by the closest exit to you.
BYUH students will be required to show their current BYUH ID card at the student entrance door. Doors will open for BYUH students at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, March 5, and at 7:30 pm, on Friday, March 7.
If you are unable to produce your physical student ID card, you may enter the CAC through the general public lines on the statue side. The BYUH student entrance will be at the Seasider Sports & Activities entrance, where the women’s bathroom is located. 15 minutes before the show starts, this door will close, and students will enter/exit at the Aloha Plaza entrance. When you exit the CAC, be sure to get a stamp so you may return.
VIPs, BYUH media, and people with disabilities may enter through the statue side entrance. Doors will open for VIPs at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, March 5, and at 7:30 pm, on Friday, March 7.
A friendly reminder: once seats are filled to full capacity, the doors will be closed, and guests will be invited to return home and watch it on the BYUH Live YouTube page.
VIP Entrance
VIP individuals will be issued wristbands that will need to be worn on their left wrist to enter the building.
Accessible Seating
Accessible seating will be available for individuals who use a wheelchair, walking cane, walker, or crutches. One additional companion will be permitted to accompany these individuals. The elderly community who do not need these assistance methods are asked to line up in the general admission lines.
Limited accessible parking will be available behind the Cannon Activities Center in the gym parking lot.
BYU–Hawaii reserves the right to refuse entrance to anyone who is not compliant or exudes irrational behavior in opposition to university standards. There is no food or drinks sold inside the CAC. Any illegal items on your person or in your bag will be confiscated at the entrance. No backpacks or big bags are allowed in the CAC.
Please dress modestly. No bikinis or inappropriate attire. No alcohol or illegal substances are allowed on the premises or in the building. Guests will not be allowed access if alcohol is detected on your person. IDs will not be required. Campus Security will conduct bag checks as necessary before entrance is granted. Footwear is required. Loud noise makers and balloons will not be allowed. You will be required to climb four sets of stairs to seats after entering the building.
Entrance
The entrance for general admission guests is on the statue side of the CAC. On Wednesday, March 5, the door will open at 7:00 pm. On Friday, March 7, the door will open at 8:00 pm.
If exiting the building, guests will need to get a stamp to re-enter.
When the CAC seating capacity is filled, no additional guests will be allowed in. Instead, guests will be invited to return home and watch it live on the BYUH YouTube livestream.
